6' x 10' Chain Link Kennel Top Installation Instructions
(Typical)
The chain link kennel tops are not panels; they are kits which include
all the materials needed to complete installation. In construction they resemble the
kennel panels, however a seperate frame is not necessary because they share that of the
sides; only a center brace need be installed.
Step 1
Tension bands are installed at both ends of where the chain link will be stretched. In this case, place 5 1 3/8" tension bands on the top rail of one of the six foot kennel lengths. Do the same thing to the opposite side of the kennel. These tension bands are the same as used on the side panels to attach the chain link fabric to the uprights of the kennel frame. Place the flat part up so that the nut will be pointing down into the enclosure. Refer to side kennel panels to see proper fitting.

Step 2
Install one end rail clamp on center of ten foot side panel along the top rail with open end pointing toward opposite side. Do the same to the other ten foot length. These are the connecting fittings to install the 1 3/8" center brace using the 3/8" x 2" nuts and bolts.
Step 3
Cut to length and install the 6' x 1 3/8" x .065 brace to fit into the two end rail clamps installed in step 2.
Step 4
Slide one 6' tension bar into the 6' chain link fabric. Refer to the side panels to see how the tension bar slides easily in between the mesh. Next place the roll of chain link on top of kennel with tension bar lined up to the tension bands. Attach chain link using 1 3/8" tension bands and 5/16" x 1 1/4" nuts and bolts.
Step 5
Unroll chain link fabric across the top of the enclosure to the opposite 6 foot wide side panel. Pull hand tight and discern which links to remove to make a tight connection. Stretch tight and attach to top rail using 1 3/8" tension bands and 5/16" x 1 1/4" nuts and bolts.
Step 6
Using 1 5/8" aluminum tie wires attach chain link fabric to top rails of side panels and center brace installed in step 3.
